ABOUT THE BOOK

Does failure, or feelings of failure, affect you to the point where you find it hard to move on? Do you avoid situations where you might fail or find it difficult to confront failure? Caris Grimes takes a frank, no-nonsense look at different aspects of failure and what we can learn from them. Using examples from the apparent failures within the ministry of Jesus, and other Biblical stories together with academic research, Caris helps us to understand how God uses failure and what we can learn from failure in our personal lives and workplaces.

ENDORSEMENTS

‘Although Caris is a highly skilled leader in a specialised field of medicine, she writes with humility, honesty and humour. Her voice is refreshing for a church that can be so frightened to think about its own systemic and local failures. I wholeheartedly commend this book to you. It will be a comfort and guide for anyone who has failed at any point in their life. And that will be all of us.’

Joy French, Author of Ordinary Mum, Extraordinary Mission

‘Caris Grimes reminds us that we all fail the perfection test and that whatever our failures, there is always the opportunity of a new chapter and a new beginning. It’s a timely and well-written book that deserves to be widely read.’
