From Behind the Microphone - Andrew Gonoude

What is it like to be the band leader who breaks a guitar string in the middle of a sensitive ‘Come, Holy Spirit’ moment? How does it feel to lead worship at a new church for the first time and accidentally begin by singing a completely different verse to everybody else? How can a singer confidently lead a song when their own child is standing up on the front row of chairs with their fingers in their ears?

Welcome to my world! In 1986 at the age of eighteen, I became a Christian and a busy church musician who quickly learned to sing, play guitar and lead praise and worship. That was forty years ago and culminates here. This book represents four decades of my life, rejoicing, laughing, praying, screaming, and crying my way through the good, the bad and the ugly.

With raw honesty and heart-wrenching true stories, this fascinating and deeply moving book recounts Andrew's journey, marked by many victories, tragedies and ‘oh-my-gosh’ moments. It will appeal to anyone with a heart for worship.
