This book was initially prepared to introduce Pakistan’s Christians to their amazing history over the past 2,000 years. It challenges our assumptions—revealing a country that boasts three to four million Christians, enjoying constitutional freedom for their faith, a story rarely told. We feel the world needs to hear the story too! This is not dry history. It is the story of men and women of faith and courage, beginning in Bethlehem and continuing till today. It is a tale of missionaries and local saints, their dedication, sacrifices, and the enduring legacy they forged in education, healthcare, and faith. It is an account of God’s enduring care for His people, threading through time and offering a guiding light for the future.

Michael Wakely’s connection with Pakistan goes back to 1979 when he and his wife lived and worked in charitable service in Lahore for about 10 years. When challenged to help provide education for some of Pakistan’s poorest Christians, he and his wife founded the charity, Starfish Asia. They now support 50 schools in Pakistan, to ensure a good education and to raise the hopes and dreams of Pakistan’s Christians.
